QAQET (Baining) leaders of East New Britain have vowed to be united in thier stand regarding economical high impact projects on thier traditional land. This was made known in a meeting held lastweek at the Five Station conference room in Kokopo, and organised by the provincial administrator's office.
The provincial administration office was unanimously told by the leaders that their land is not for sale any more and those found to be selling thier traditional land will be dealt with.
The leaders also requested the East New Britain Provincial Government to enact a special law for the prohibition of land sales by any Qaqet person to any outsiders.
