Last Thursday we launched a new email action addressed to the Chief Ombudsman.

We are calling on him to investigate the Prime Minister, Speaker of Parliament and the Leader of the House for adjourning Parliament to avoid a vote of no-confidence and stop debate on the many critical issues facing the country. 

So far 65 emails have been sent to the Chief Ombudsman - which is a great start. But we are still a long way short of our target of 250.

If you haven't sent your email then please do it now - send your email to the Chief Ombudsman.

It is really quick and easy to do - just a couple of clicks and your email will be on its way.

Why is this important?

By adjourning Parliament the government is showing its contempt for the law, shutting down legitimate debate and refusing to be accountable.

The Ombudsman says the government moves are illegal under the Constitution and those responsible could be punished with up to 10 years in jail.

But nobody is doing anything to investigate those responsible or hold them to account.

And remember, this is just the latest in a series of government acts that have undermined our Constitution and democratic principles. ¹

Unless WE stand up and make OUR voices heard nothing is going to change - in fact it will just get worse.

We have to start showing that we care by taking action and asking our friends and family to join us.

If we don't help ourselves then nobody else will do it for us.
