Is this land that is being dished out freely actually free land? Who are the birth title holders of these 1,600 land titles? No gift is free!...If these people in the Urbanization office genuinely thought about how this scheme will be providing decent homes for rural-urban drifters, than have they also prioritised in-depth thought for those (Landowners) who will be loosing thier decent homes (land) and forfieting thier childrens decencey to a home for thier own tomorrow, for someone elses today?

Ioro people fed up with contentious mining debate on Bougainville

The Ioro constituency covers the entire Panguna area and has its administrative borders at Kieta, Bana and Torokina. On a recent occasion a few weeks ago, chiefs, clan leaders, and other respected leaders and public servants in Ioro convened in a rare event to look at potential leaders who will represent them.
